Welcome tradewarriors everywhere to the fifth annual United States Open Tradewars Championship kicking off on FEB 23rd AT MIDNIGHT!. This is one of the oldest and traditionally the most competitive Tradewars games one could hope for. This game was founded by Bad Girl whos vision was to create a championship that any tradewars player could play and compete. The vision was to offer the same level of play as the legendary invite only Battle of the Elite Championship but with an open registration. Hence the United States Open was born. This is also the first tournament where the winner is determined by a scoring system designed to promote aggressive play.

The United States Open was turned over to Planet TW and the Hardcoded Network last year at the conclusion of the United States Open 2002. Bad Girl decided to park her ship for good and part ways with Tradewars. As a result the United States open is under new management. The game now has a slightly different set of rules and a tweaked scoring system but it maintains much of its original feel.
